In this introductory tasting we'll learn about senses and how to put them to use right away as we taste through a flight of six wines. We'll also explore what grapes make the best wine, the best place to grow grapes, and the basic geography of wine growing regions, how wine is made, the building blocks of wine, wine types, and about the major grape types, including how to pronounce them by repeating along with grape goddess®.
Novice/Intermediate
Professional Wine Tasting, Food & Wine Pairing, The Restaurant Wine Scene
In this program we'll demystify the wine tasting experience and learn how the pro's do it as we taste through a flight of six wines. We'll introduce the basic concepts of food and wine pairing as we taste through sweet, salty, savory, sour, and spicy bites, so you can discover firsthand what works and why. We'll explore the restaurant wine scene, giving you access to the best deals when ordering wine in restaurant, and we'll discuss interacting with the Sommelier and bringing your own wine in.
Intermediate/Experts
Blind Tasting Skills, The Retail Wine Scene, The Dream Cellar
In this program we'll explore the wine retail scene, giving you access to the best deals when shopping for wine at the winery, online, or at your favorite wine shop. We'll look at what is involved and give you tips on building your dream wine cellar, then we'll conclude this program by tasting through a flight of six wines blind to fine tune our deductive tasting process.
